Science Radio Show Host Michio Kaku Gave Michael Shermer An Unskeptical Interview
On July 16, 2013 on KPFA, Michio Kaku, "Professor of Theoretical
Physics" and host of a long-standing radio show called
"Exploration", gave a completely unscientific and
unskeptical interview platform to Michael Shermer to discuss "The
Borders of Science - Why People Believe Strange Things". And
on July 19, 2013 RT Interview with Michio Kaku by Oksana Boyko, he really lost his "cool" when he tried to
intellectually bully the young host. (July 19 Argument linked here and linked at bottom in the paragraph in yellow text added on 7-21-13.)
On July 16 Dr. Shermer is introduced as the "dean of debunkers", founder of The Skeptical Society, and a regular writer for Scientific American. Yet
Shermer's technique is to include in that wierdo grab-bag of “strange
beliefs” held by “otherwise smart people” a grab-bag of odd notions but not his own preposterous and completely
unskeptical perspective on the official story of 9/11. Kaku allows
Shermer to employ the anti-intellectual technique of ridicule in lieu
of a rational analysis. In fact, Kaku joins in the non-science
rudeness toward people not there to defend themselves, especially
physicist Dr Steven Jones.

Dr. Steven Jones describes explosive evidence that was found in WTC
dust samples at the historic 2010 "Architects &
Engineers for 9/11 Truth" San Francisco press conference
while Erik Lawyer of "Firefighters for 9/11 Truth" and
prolific author Dr. David Ray Griffin wait in the wings.
The
long standing science show on NPR, all of the Pacifica radio
stations, and syndicated to hundreds of other stations, has been
strangely silent over these many years since 2001 on the scientific and forensic
evidence of the events of 9/11/01. Like the Philip Zelikow-led 9/11
Commission Report, omissions and distortions abound in this rare and
shamefully superficial “9/11 science” moment on Mister Kaku's
show. No mention of Building 7 even as Kaku joins Shermer in the
preposterous notion that World Trade Center buildings #1 and #2
disintegrated due to fuel and office fires and that no demolitions
were involved. No discussion of the rate of fall in 10 seconds, nor
any reference to the 100 plus year history of steel frame buidings.
After
explaining "the skeptics movement", for which Shermer
thinks himself the self-appointed leader of, the subjects go from
9/11, to talking with dead people, to creationist denial of Darwin,
to superstitions, to UFO's, and so on in the mix of discrediting by
association... Shermer gets to 9/11 at 11:45 in the hour long show
and that segment goes to 19:20. Shermer acts shocked that he got
"hundreds of letters from readers of Scientific American"
angry with his debunking of 9/11”.

course, Shermer does not address WTC Building 7 on the Kaku show, which was not hit by a plane and disintegrated in about 7 seconds. He claims that fires did not have to melt the tower buildings to make them collapse in about 10 seconds flat.
Our popular “science guy”, Mr. Kaku, offers, without accreditation, that the architects designed the buildings to fall right into
themselves. Should we not expect a citation for such a claim on a
nominally unbiased scientific show? The only "residue"
problem for Shermer is not what's found in the dust by Dr. Steven
Jones and the international team which published a for-peer review
report in
The Open Chemical Physics Journal in 2009, but

Shermer
begs the question in lieu of scientific evidence and common sense! He
asks, why not just take bin Laden's word for it, after all, says
Shermer, he claimed to have done it. Yet bin Laden denied his involvement, which was reported on CNN on 9-16-01. A fake video with a fatter African featured bin Laden was "found" in Afghanistan after the US invasion, which is largely discredited. But Shermer makes no attempt to document what he says as a real scientist or skeptic would do.

Where is the skepticism of these official histories? Shermer says that Bush was too "incompetent" to pull off 9/11. Shouldn't
this trashing by ridicule and specious science actually be seen as an
opportunity for the international 9/11 truth movement? After all,
Kaku has put his scientific reputation on the line by hosting Shermer
in a completely uncritical and endorsing manner. After all, Kaku has rather avoided the subject for nearly 12 years... So what is he trying to
do now? How about some public discussion of an appropriate response
to Kaku from the intellectual leadership of the 9/11 Truth movement
in numerous countries at once? Does Kaku not owe Dr Steven Jones an
opportunity to discuss his scientific "Hypothesis" on the
show which allowed him to be ridiculed? He should have Richard Gage of
Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth on a special show as well.

Our “science guy”, Michio Kaku has won wide respect for his straight talk about the dangers of nuclear power and weapons. Take note of this: In the last 3 minutes of this one hour show, Kaku offers an editorial cover for himself. He talks about how everyone thought that reports of CIA mind control experiments were just crazy “conspiracy theories”. He concludes that in the wake of the revelations that came out during the Watergate era about the MK Ultra Mind Control program, it turns out that “sometimes the conspiracy theorists are right”.

is quite combative with Oksana. At 9:25 Kaku becomes quite rude and
belligerent with the host at this point. He asks, “Are you a
'conspiracy theorist'?”. And he demands that she answer his
question, “Who was behind 9/11?” He repeats it five times in
rapid succession! You can hear him interrupt her every time she tries
to answer. He is clearly trying to use the full weight of his
celebrity “Science Guy” status to intimidate the young and articulate Russian journalist, Oksana Boyco.

episode of “Brainwash Update” is one of the best and hardest-hitting
analyses ever delivered by Abby Martin! And they are all good! For this
episode, Martin's "Breaking the Set" YouTube Channel states: "Abby Martin calls out Bill
Maher, host of HBO's 'Real Time', for his evolution from being a
controversial commentator to being an arrogant lackey for the
democratic party, citing his rampant Islamophobia, support for
drones, and defense of the NSA's wiretapping program."
Abby's first clip is one from a long ago “Politically Incorrect” show in which Maher claimed that "we" (USA) were the cowards for lobbing missiles in from a safe distance of our adversaries, for which he was fired by ABC. Abby says that Maher has made a complete reversal of positions to “suck up to his corporate masters”, and she goes on a rapid roll-out of evidence to back up what she says.
In
fact, Maher makes an extremely insensitive and racist joke about
Muslims in general in an interview with CIA-trained CNN interviewer
Cooper Anderson. Abby plays the clip. Anderson's wikipedia page
states, “During college, Cooper spent two summers as an intern at
the Central Intelligence Agency. Although he has no formal
journalistic education, he opted to pursue a career in journalism
rather than stay with the agency after school.” Instead of showing shock and disgust at this demonizing remark, Anderson smiles and lets it stand uncontested, thus encouraging millions of viewers to join in the hatred for billions of fellow human beings. If either Maher or Anderson feared a "real existential threat" from "terrorism" or "Muslims", would they talk like that about Muslims in general? As Abby Martin says, "statistically you are less likely to die of bee sting than a terrorist attack."
She takes Maher to task for a recent Huffington Post op-ed article by Maher saying that "600 thousand Palestinians (expelled from their country) should have been mature, enough to move on, the way the Jews did". Abby mocks that one saying, "Yeah, dude, Palestinians just need to grow up! They need to just waltz out of that open air prison and move on with their lives, right? But if that's not offensive enough, just wait! Because in addition to Occupation, Maher supports Stazi-like sureillance too! Just recently on his show he said, "I'm ok with spying now that
Obama is in office.” She reams him again saying, "Grow up, man! Your complete trust in Democrats is not going to matter when the same spying program is adopted by the next Republican President. Although that does not matter to people like Bill Maher because his purpose, like that of John Stewart or Steven Colbert, is to be lackey for the Democratic Party."
Next she plays a clip of Maher presenting "a giant cartoon check" to the Obama Super PAC (Political Action Committee) fund for one million dollars "while fear-mongering that there is no other choice than to support a war criminal. And any time there's a real change amassing, Maher arrogantly rejects it." We are reminded by Abby of Maher's attempts at character assassination on the millions of citizen volunteers in the American grassroots movement demanding another “New Deal” between the 99% and the 1%, a movement. She points out that Maher once referring to the Occupy Wall Street movement as 'a
bunch of douchebags who think throwing a chair through a Starbucks
window is going to bring on the revolution'. Abby tells Bill Maher point blank what will bring on the revolution: "Yeah Bill, cuz you know what IS going to bring on the Revolution is giving millions of dollars to perpetuate endless war, the erosion of rights, and a climate of fear and hatred for one another." The Occupy Wall Street movement is better known for occupying public spaces, sharing food, having teach-ins, and holding open public assemblies of direct democratic participation than for 'throwing chairs' even when attacked by militarized police forces in nationally coordinated simultaneous attacks in numerous cities using phone conferences with the "Homeland Security", the FBI, and mostly Democratic Party big city mayors!
Abby Martin concludes her Maher skewering with a final sledge-hammer blow that is reminiscent of the opening to her "Breaking the Set" TV show where she smashes a TV with a sledge-hammer while CNN's Wolf Blitzer is yapping propaganda and nonsense. Abby skewers Bill Maher with logic, principles, and humor. Political humor at its best because she exposes how one man's journey led him to financial success in a moral wasteland! speaking controversial truths to becoming nothing more than an
Establishment Puppet! Keeping the masses laughing and superficially

CALIFORNIA DREAM BUSTED! Parents, Pot, Prohibition: Daisy Bram's Story
Daisy
Bram and Jayme Walsh were living their California Dream. They had
moved from Iowa to a rural mountain town in northern California where
they began to home-birth and raise three children, to grow their own food and
medical marijuana, and to integrate themselves into the mostly
farming community where Daisy works as a midwife. Then came police raids into their home to seize
their children, to put the husband in prison, with Daisy, the mother of three, currently out on bail and speaking out in their defense. Now the three children, Zeus, Thor,
and Invictus are under the control and supervision of the Child
Protective Services. The seizure of her car has left the young and vibrant mother of three stranded in a rural
community with no transportation while facing charges of child endangerment. Fortunately, Daisy has a
good lawyer named Michael Levinson working pro-bono on her behalf. There is also a growing community of support around this family's case and a legal defense fund has been established. See GreenAid - Daisy Bram Legal Defense Fund. This is her heart-breaking

From Reason.com: "In 2011, Daisy Bram and Jayme Walsh lived with their two small children, Thor and Zeus, in Butte County, California. Like so many other people in northern California, Bram and Walsh had medical marijuana recommendations and a small cannabis garden in their back yard. In September, their home was raided by Butte County sheriffs. Bram and Walsh were charged with cultivation of marijuana, possession with intent to sell, and child endangerment. Thor and Zeus were taken by Child Protective Services and placed in foster care for four months. A year later, Bram gave birth to their third son, Invictus. With their Butte County cases still unresolved, Bram and Walsh decided to move their family to neighboring Tehama County. In January of 2013, Tehama County sheriffs raided Bram and Walsh's new home. This time they found a cannabis garden in a locked room off the back of the house. Child Protective Services once again seized Bram and Walsh's children and placed them in foster care, where they remain to this day. On January 30, Tehama County officers seized Bram's car. Walsh is currently in jail with bail set at one million dollars. Bram is out on bail awaiting future court dates. "There is nothing worse that someone can be accused of than doing something to harm their own children. If someone from the government is going to come after someone and make that accusation, they better have the ammunition ready to go," said Michael Levinsohn, Daisy Bram's attorney."
